Other Terrors: An Inclusive Anthology

An anthology of original new horror stories edited by Bram Stoker Award winners Vince Liaguno and Rena Mason that showcases authors from underrepresented backgrounds telling terrifying tales of what it means to be, or merely to seem, “other.”

Offering original new stories from some of the biggest names in horror as well as some of the hottest up-and-coming talents. Read Shanna’s story “Miss Infection USA” amongst tales from Stephen Graham Jones, Alma Katsu, Tananarive Due, and more.

[Shanna’s] story is wildly inventive and a very ingenious take on the zombie sub-genre!

Crack stepping: a short story

Published in Burrow Press Review’s Month of Horror.

Bad Janey finds a secret in the basement--is the horror she discovers below better than life above with Mother? “Crack Stepping” is a dark fairy tale that twists the already morose children’s rhyme, “step on a crack, break your mother’s back.”

Mommies Don’t stay: a short story

Originally published in Cemetery Moon, Issue #12. Reprinted in Dark Matter.

Flora is single and ready to get pregnant all on her own. When an eager donor appears, Flora accepts the offer. Pregnancy isn’t what she expected—it’s nightmares and apparitions of two ghostly twins telling her to “bring them home.” Her babies might not belong to her after all, but she’ll fight until the bitter end.
